Ciao a tutti,
2)I suggest you to park your motorhome along Kenny Caddesi. There is a parking arae near the terminal of IDO (www.ido.com.tr
) along Kenny Caddesi in the area of YENIKAPI. This parking area belongs to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (www.ispark.com.tr
). However this web site is mainly Turkish, but you may get some ideas in the English version. This parking area gives 24 hours service with security guards. But you have to inform these guards that you can stay in your motorhome overnight. Otherwise if they do not know that, they will call a police and be arrested over a suspected burglary attempt in your motorhome. In the pricing side, this parking area works depends on how many hours that you park. You will pay 20 YTL for 24 hours. But if you exit from the parking area after 2 hours entered, you pay for 2 hours. So the cost for you is how many hours you park.
As you know in every big cities have sometimes safety difficulties. But the parking place that I suggest you is one of the secure parking place in Istanbul.

3) I think if you want to be in SultanAhmet area alternatively you can park in the railway station (Sirkeci Tren Gari Otoparki) car park on Kennedy Street behind the Shell Petrol Station in Sirkeci for a number of good reasons. The park is in a fine location, right in the heart of the city, near the sea allowing access to old sites, shops, restaurants, public transport and ferries across Asia. it is monitored 24 hours and a good ten minute’ walk away from the Sultanahmet Square.
Important note: Please remember not to arrive between 8 am and 6 pm on weekdays as it is often full.
